Co-curricular programs
At Albury North Public School, we believe in providing a well-rounded education that goes beyond the classroom. Our co-curricular activities offer students a variety of opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and contribute to the school community.
Student Representative Council (SRC)
The Student Representative Council (SRC) empowers students to have a voice in our school community. Through the SRC, many improvements have been made to our school environment . Additionally, our SRC coordinate fundraisers for local and national not-for-profit community organisations.
SRC also take responsibility for school assemblies and representative functions.
Community Involvement
Each year, our school participates in the ANZAC Day March in Albury as well as hosting school ceremonies for ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day. We support the Lions Club by providing students the opportunity to participate in their public speaking competitions. We also participate in local and national events such as Harmony Day, Clean Up Australia Day and NAIDOC Week.
Debating and public speaking
Any student in Years 3-6 with an interest in public speaking can join this program. Students take part in the state-wide competitions and become confident active speakers
Excursions and Incursions
Albury North Public School offers a variety of excursions and incursions including overnight excursions for primary. Activities and itineraries are developed to support learning in the key learning area of Human Society and its Environment.
Games Room
Games Room is for students who want to play roleplaying games, card games, board games, and strategy games. Meet in the Games Room at 1.20-1.50pm each day.
Lunch-time clubs
Students have the opportunity to participate in lunchtime clubs, run by teachers. Options include silent disco, choir and drama.
Sport
We offer a diverse range of sports to cater to every students's interests and abilities.
Apart from regular sport, our stunts participate in the local Primary School Sports Association (PSSA) inter-school sports program during terms 2, 3 and 4.
Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country events are held during Term1. Eligible students have the opportunity to follow the NSW PSSA Pathway to compete at a state level.
Throughout the year, we participate in a variety of gala days with other schools.
