Albury North Public School we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.

Extra-curricular programs

Optional enrichment beyond the classroom

Our extra-curricular programs provide students with opportunities to explore personal interests, talents and passions outside of regular classroom learning. Participation is optional and often occurs before or after school, or through representative pathways.

Students may choose to be involved in:

·       Clubs and interest groups such as coding, gardening,

·       Academic competitions and challenges

·       Creative and performance opportunities including public speaking, dance, drama and choir

·       Representative sport, knockouts and gala days

·       Community involvement

These programs support confidence, teamwork, resilience and a love of learning beyond the classroom.These experiences strengthen engagement, wellbeing and achievement for all students.and activities that help students grow, make new friends, explore their interests and build real-world skills. These experiences support learning beyond the classroom and help your child become a confident, creative, active and connected member of the school community.

Sport

We offer a range of sports to cater to every student's interests and abilities. As well as regular sports days, we hold a variety of sports events. Eligible students participate in zone, regional and state (NSW) Primary School Sports Association (PSSA) Pathway to compete.

Lunchtime clubs

Students have the opportunity to participate in lunchtime clubs, run by teachers.

Some options include:

  • silent disco
  • choir
  • drama.

Community involvement

We are proud to be active members of our local community. We build community connections through partnerships and events.

  • ANZAC Day: our school participates in the ANZAC Day March in Albury. We also host school ceremonies for ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day.
  • Lions Club: We support the Lions Club. Students can participate in their public speaking competitions.
